Weldon E. Havins received his M.D. from the Bowman Gray School of Medicine of Wake Forest University in June, 1970.  

He received his J.D. (Cum Laude) in May 1998 from the University of San Diego School of Law and was selected to the Order of the Coif.  

He received  his L.L.M. in Health Law (Cum Laude) in August 1999 from the University of San Diego School of Law.  

He became a member of the Nevada State Bar on October 23, 1998.
